Competition HISWA Motorboat of the Year
The organisers of the HISWA are initiator and coordinator of the Competition HISWA Boat of the Year. The jury select the boats for participation at the competition. The winner will get a free berth at the HISWA and profit from the related free publicity.
Selection procedure
The 10-person jury select the boats for a possible nomination. The organizers have no influence on the decision of the jury. During a meeting at the HISWA in-water boat show the jury select boats for the trial on Lake IJssel. After the trail only three boats can be short listed for the competition HISWA Boat of the Year.
The assessment criteria that play a role in the decision of the jury are
- design
- construction
- sailing qualities
- innovation
Conditions of participation
The conditions for participation in the competition for the title are
- The boat should have a minimum length of seven meters.
- Should also have been built and become actually available in 2008 or 2009.
the boats must be available during the HISWA 2010 and the trial day in October.
Winner in the spotlight at HISWA Amsterdam Boat Show
All the shortlisted boats are eligible for a free birth at the HISWA Amsterdam Boat Show 2010. In addition to the title, the winner will receive an extensive promotional package including stickers to help them publicize the title of HISWA Boat of the Year 2010 throughout the year.
Announcement
The jury chairman will announce the identity of the winner on the first day of the HISWA Amsterdam Boat Show, the 2nd of March 2010.
