  • Can I buy more than one ticket in a single transaction?

    Yes, an unlimited number of tickets can be ordered.
  • Can I order my train ticket on the day I intend to visit the exhibition?

    Yes, you can. After your purchase has been concluded, you will receive an e-mail with a coupon code that allows you to redeem and print your ticket.
  • How can I reach the HISWA via public transport?
  • Can I bring my dog to the HISWA?

    Yes, on a lead.
  • I am in a wheelchair, does my companion have to buy a ticket as well?

    No, your companion can accompany you free of charge.
  • What facilities are there for disabled/wheelchair users?

    The HISWA exhibition is easily accessible to disabled people and wheelchair users. The aisles are flat and wide with the exception of the sailboat quay. The building is equipped with elevators and disabled toilets. People with official proof of disability can report to the lodge of the Congress garage, which can be reached by following the ‘Parkeren Congres’ signs. The RAI also has wheelchairs for hire, which must be booked prior to your visit by sending an e-mail
    listing your name,
    address and city of residence,
    as well as the date and which part of the day you will be visiting the show.
    Remember to bring valid identification!
  • Is smoking allowed in Amsterdam RAI?

    Smoking is banned in all RAI buildings, including the catering locations and parking garages. It is also prohibited to smoke during the set-up/breakdown of an exhibition. There are several smoking zones available outside.
  • Are there cash machines in Amsterdam RAI?

    Ask for the exact locations of the cash machines at the information desks near the various entrances. TIP: Withdraw cash prior to the exhibition to avoid long queues at the cash machines.

  • Is there a nursery available?

    No, there is no professional nursery. There are, however, various exciting activities for children aged seven and older.
  • Which edition of the exhibition is HISWA 2011?

  • What does HISWA stand for?

    On 16 April 1932 several yachtbuilders and merchants, including H.W. de Voogt, G. de Vries Lentsch jr. and Carl Denig, founded the ‘Nederlandsche Vereeniging voor Handel en Industrie op het Gebied van Scheepsbouw en Watersport’ (the Netherlands Association of Enterprises in Water Recreation). The main goal of the association was to organise periodical exhibitions, and the first ever HISWA exhibition took place in 1933. The HISWA name is derived from the original name of the association.
