NOMINATIONS Motorboat of the Year

The Bavaria Deep Blue 46 Sport Top, the Rego Fury 1010 and the Greenline 33 Hybrid have been nominated as finalists for the HISWA Motorboat of the Year 2010. The winner will be announced by the jury chairman during the opening day of the HISWA Amsterdam Boat Show 2010 on Tuesday 2 March in Amsterdam RAI.

The boats were evaluated based on several criteria, with innovation being the most important followed by construction, performance and, finally, design and the price/quality ratio. The best candidates were the Bavaria Deep Blue 46 Sport Top, the Rego Fury 1010 and the Greenline 33 Hybrid, and this trio is now in the running for the HISWA Motorboat of the Year Award 2010.
Greenline 33 Hybrid - Daring concept
“The Greenline 33 Hybrid stood out due to its daring concept that was developed from an entirely new perspective and intelligently and boldly carried out from start to finish,” said the jury. Designed for optimal electric sailing, the yacht makes virtually no sound, holds a steady course and is very well priced.

Bavaria Deep Blue 46 Sport Top – Unique character

The jury was pleasantly surprised by the Bavaria Deep Blue 46 Sport Top and its excellent performance, beautiful design and diversity. “The Bavaria sails exceptionally well at all speeds,” they reported. “This is a technically solid vessel with a unique character, is particularly well-suited for its target group and is also available at a reasonable price.”

Rego Fury 1010 – Logical choices

The Rego Fury 1010 was commended for the logical choices made in developing a simple, reliable, sustainable, exceptionally complete vessel at a remarkable price. “A great deal of boat for a very low cost,” and “a saucy little yacht in a complete package,” were two of the jury’s comments, which added that “this concept will be very attractive for a specific target group.”

Selection procedure

The jury consists of editors from the Dutch and Belgian watersports media (Waterkampioen, Yacht Vision Magazine, De Telegraaf/Vaarkrant, Nautique, Motorboot en Varen) and a technical specialist.
